Weightless-Priceless Knowledge
I am currently reading an insightful book by Serge Soudoplatoff entitled "Avec Internet où allons nous?" (Editions Le Pommier, 2004). This is a refreshing promenade through the history of Internet, of its players, of their mistakes, of their successes and challenges. If you wonder why the convergence praised for instance by Jean-Marie Messier or AOL-Time Warner did not occur, why the UMTS is seriously challenged by WiFi, WiMax and so on and so forth, read it: The account is very pedagogical.
One table in the book drew my attention and it is related to an earlier post in this blog. This is a table drawn from Fortune Magazine (p 112 in the book). Here is what it says:
