efmd is a global, membership driven organization, based in Brussels. As the largest international network association in the field of management development, the efmd covers over 500 institutional members from academia, business, public service and consultancy in sixty-five countries.
efmd runs the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), which is the leading international system of quality assessment, quality improvement and accreditation of higher education institutions in management and business adminsitration. EQUIS has so far accredited 73 schools on all continents.

As part of these activities, efmd publishes the Annual Review of Progress in Entrepreneurship (ARPENT) whose Editor-in Chief is Professor David Watkins (Southampton Business School). This annual journal is usually sponsored by leading European business schools such as AUDENCIA and EM LYON.
